The Georgian National Communications Commission of Georgia (ComCom) has established several strategic goals to further enhance media literacy in Georgia. These include to: Provide strong leadership and coordination to promote media literacy nationwide, ensuring transparency in its efforts; Develop research approaches to build a solid, evidence-based foundation for future media literacy initiatives; Foster partnerships by facilitating media literacy projects and encouraging collaboration among key stakeholders; Raise public awareness about the benefits and risks of media, empowering citizens to navigate the digital world confidently and safely.
To achieve these goals, ComCom is focused on two core objectives: Embedding media literacy into the formal education; Advancing digital literacy and inclusion through informal education initiatives and programs.
