A new Chairman and new members at the Polish National Broadcasting Council 

On 10 October 2022, Mr. Maciej Świrski, former  Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Press Agency (PAP), was elected the Chairman of the National Broadcasting Council of Poland (KRRiT).  At the same Plenary Session of the Council, Ms. Agnieszka Glapiak was elected Deputy Chair. Ms. Glapiak was previously the Director of the Government Information Center. In October this year, a new, five-member composition of the National Broadcasting Council began its six-year term.

 

 

The new members of the KRRiT are:

- Ms. Marzena Paczuska -Tętnik - appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland;

- Ms. Hanna Karp, Ph.D., Prof. AKSiM (Academy of Social and Media Culture) - appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland;

- Ms. Agnieszka Glapiak - appointed by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland;

- Mr. Maciej Świrski - appointed by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland;

- Mr. Tadeusz Kowalski, Ph.D., Prof. UW (University of Warsaw) - appointed by the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
