GOSRN - Global Online Safety Regulators Network

GOSRN - Global Online Safety Regulators Network

Launched in November 2022, the Global Online Safety Regulators Network is the only global forum dedicated to supporting collaboration between online safety regulators.

The Network aims to enhance coherence and consistency between international regulators’ approaches to online safety, through the sharing of information, expertise and experience.

The Network is open to regulators that:

  • have legislated online safety functions;
  • meet criteria on independence from political and commercial interference; and
  • are committed to upholding human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

Current members:

In addition, network 'observers' are organisations and stakeholders that work on online safety issues, and are committed to working collaboratively with independent online safety regulators. These could be civil society, policymakers, multilateral organisations and industry groups.

IBRAF - Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Broadcasting Regulatory Authorities Forum

The organisation of Islamic Cooperation Broadcasting Regulatory Authorities Forum (IBRAF) is an international organization for the purpose of promoting dialogue and cooperation, provision of exchange of information, views and experience among the broadcasting regulatory authorities and/or public authorities with similar functions of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s member states. Established on 18 November 2011 in Istanbul its Founding Charter was adopted on 3 October 2012 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

IBRAF became a legal entity with the Resolution 11/9-INF on the establishment of OIC Broadcasting Regulatory Authorities Forum adopted by the 9th session of the OIC Islamic Conference of Information Ministers (ICIM) held in Libreville, Gabon on 17-20 April 2012.  OIC adopted Affiliated Institution status of IBRAF at the 40th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) held in Conakry, Republic of Guinea on 9-11 December 2013.


In the 11th OIC Conference of Information Ministers (ICIM) held in Jeddah on 19-22 December 2016, IBRAF was assigned to act and serve as an audiovisual observatory for the OIC Member States. 

IBRAF has currently 37 members from OIC Member States and 4 observers.
