Swiss OFCOM: Bernard Maissen appointed Head of Media Division

He will take up his position as of 1st May

Bernard Maissen will be the new Deputy Director of the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM).

Aged 57, he will take up his position as Head of the Media Division on 1 May 2018. Bernard Maissen was Editor-in-Chief of the Swiss Telegraphic Agency (ATS) and a member of the Agency's board until the end of 2017.

Journalist by training, he worked at the "Bündner Zeitung", the SSR and ATS. Since 2013, he is also a member of the Federal Media Commission (COFEM), that he will leave at the end of April to work for OFCOM.
He is fluent in Romansh, German and French and has good knowledge of Italian and English.

Bernard Maissen will take up his functions as of 1st May 2018. He is replacing Roberta Cattaneo.
