New President and new Board for the Italian AGCOM

The constitutive meeting of the new Board of the AGCOM, the Italian regulator in charge of broadcasting and telecommunications, took place on 26 July 2012 at the authority's headquarters in Naples.

The new President is Angelo Marcello Cardani who replaces Corrado Calabrò. The other four members of the Board are Antonio Martusciello, Francesco Posteraro, Maurizio Decina and Antonio Preto.

The new established Council also decided on the scope of competence and the composition of the two AGCOM Councils: the Commission for services and products (CSP) and the Commission for infrastructure and networks (CIR).
In addition to the Chairman, commissioners Antonio Martusciello and Francesco Posteraro will be part of the CSP. Commissioners Maurizio Decina and Antonio Preto will be part of the CIR - in addition to the Chairman.
