German media authorities publish Digitisation Report 2014

The Medienanstalten, the organisation that brings together German media authorities, published, in September, their Digitisation Report for 2014, which presents the tenth analysis of the digitisation of broadcast reception and its progress in Germany.

Although traditional broadcasting infrastructures still have some way to go to complete digitisation, this year report increasingly focuses on the Internet. The report analyses new digital forms of reception of TV and video content, gives figures for digitisation of the broadcast market in Germany and presents digital TV development in Europe.

In addition, he Medienanstalten also published a presentation by the institute for market and opinion research TNS Infratest providing additional information on facts and figures of the current status of digitisation in German households, and on the usage of connected TVs and second screens,
