Irish BAI unveils successful projects funded from the 21th round of the Sound & Vision II Scheme

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) announced on 16 September 2014 the list of projects funded from the 21th package of the Sound & Vision II Scheme. A funding total of €5.223 million has been allocated to 21 TV projects and 101 radio projects. When completed, the funded projects will be broadcast by a range of community, commercial and public service broadcasters across the country.

Documentary was the most supported format in radio, while drama was the most supported in television in this round. BAI also announced that the 22th round under the current Scheme will focus only on animation and education projects.

The BAI established the Broadcasting Funding Scheme Sound & Vision II in January 2010 to provide funding in support of high quality programmes on Irish culture, heritage and experience and programmes to improve adult media literacy.
