Jean-François Furnémont, new Vice-Chairperson of the EPRA Board

On the occasion of the 27th EPRA meeting in Riga on 14-16 May 2008, Jean-François Furnémont, Director of the Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel of the French-speaking Community of Belgium was unanimously elected as the new Vice-Chairperson of the EPRA Executive Board. He replaces Tim Suter from the British Ofcom who left his authority at the end of last year.

The EPRA Executive Board (one Chairperson and four Vice-Chaipersons) is in charge of administering and legally representing the EPRA in its daily business.

The current EPRA Board is chaired by Dunja Mijatovic, Director of Broadcasting Division of the Communication Regulatory Agency (CRA) from Bosnia and Herzegovina and is composed of four Vice-Chairpersons: Jürgen Brautmeier, Deputy Director of the Media Authority of Northrhine Westphalia (LfM), Andris Mellakauls, Member of the National Broadcasting Council of Latvia, Sebastiano Sortino, Commissioner of the Italian AGCOM and the newly elected Jean-François Furnémont.
